Terms of service
The rules for using Modellane: your account and API keys, permitted use, charges, balance and the limits of the service.
Scope
These terms apply to Modellane's website, dashboard and API. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms and the privacy policy.
The service is provided by Modellane; send your questions to info@usemodellane.com. When we change these terms, the date at the top of the page changes too.
Your account and API keys
You are responsible for your account and for the requests made with your API keys. Keep your keys secret; revoke any key you think has leaked from the dashboard right away.
On an account without email, the recovery code is the only way back if you forget your password. If you lose both, access to the account cannot be restored.
Rules of use
You may not use Modellane to generate illegal content, to infringe other people's copyright, personality or privacy rights, to generate content that exploits children, or to depict real people in a misleading way without their consent.
Trying to overload the service, to get around the per-account request limits or to access other accounts is also prohibited.
Your inputs and outputs
You are responsible for the prompts and files you send and for how you use the outputs.
The model infrastructure's content filters may reject a request; a rejected request is not charged. Outputs are deleted after 7 days, so download the ones you want to keep within that time.
Models and continuity of service
Models in the catalog may be added, changed or removed, and a model may be temporarily unavailable. We make no promise that the service will run without interruption or errors.
You are charged only for delivered output: failed, cancelled or timed-out generations are not charged.
Charges and balance
Modellane is prepaid: you top up a balance and each generation's charge is deducted from it. There is no subscription, no saved payment method and no automatic top-up, and your balance does not expire.
The pricing and model pages show each model's starting price, which applies to the cheapest settings. The exact charge is calculated from the options you choose before the generation starts and is reserved from your balance; the final charge never exceeds it and any difference returns to your balance. Prices may change; a generation that has started is charged at the price in effect when it started.
If your balance is not enough, the request is rejected. Refunds are covered in the refund policy.
Suspension and closing your account
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
You can delete your account from the profile page at any time. Any balance left on the account is not refunded on deletion.
